I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2003.  After having surgery to remove much of it, I was fine for three years.  In that time I made my health a priority.  Running became a way for me to feel strong and healthy.  Then in 2006 the tumor returned in a more aggressive form, it had become malignant.  The second surgery seemed easier on me than the first, and I believe being in good shape had a lot to do with it.  I also think that I am tolerating the chemotherapy because my body is strong.  Not everyone is so lucky.   I will continue to run for myself, but now I am also running to help others who are struggling with this disease.  I hope my experiences can provide some light for those who may be suffering through dark times, I hope I can inspire you to make your health a priority, and I hope you will join me in this fight.

Thank you ,
